The Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission has been serving Anchorage’s homeless and hungry for over half a century. Individuals and families have had their needs met, often under emergency circumstances, without the barrier of red tape.
On average, we serve between 7,500-9,000 meals per month. We serve families from the area who can successfully remain in their homes if the Mission provides them with a few meals a month.
We have accomplished this with a kitchen and dining area intended to serve a fraction of those who are seeking our help. We do all this with NO government funding of any kind.
The proposed upgrade will double our dining area, consolidate all food storage in the kitchen itself, and increase our meal serving capacity. Specifically, our current 672 square feet of dining area will stretch to 1,464 square feet. The 792 square feet of outdated kitchen space will become 4,625 square feet and will house all perishables currently stored outside in refrigerated containers. We will have the capacity to serve upwards of 20,000 meals per month.

It will also provide needed space for restrooms and for the instruction of people in our LifeSkills program who are seeking a career in food service.
Coming to the table at the Mission is often the first step to coming to the altar. Please prayerfully consider supporting our inspiration to serve more hungry people in the most efficient way possible.
Estimated cost of the project is $4,000,000.
Amount collected/pledged as of 12/28/2022 is $3,549,920.
Amount needed to complete $450,080.
